Pablo Pico is a composer and a musician based in France.
After studying classical percussion, he started out as a professional musician from 2001. Playing in a number of contexts that led him to street music and theatre, from classical to baroque and from jazz to pop music, he learnt to play the clarinet and the piano too and showed a close interest in world music.
He has been increasingly devoted to composing for screen since 2007: After attending the film soundtrack composition class at the École Normale, he worked on student films from the Gobelins School.
As a young composer, he was chosen to attend selective programs like Émergence in 2010 (France), the Berlinale Talent Campus Score Competition 2012 (meeting Ryuichi Sakamoto) and the Angers "Premiers Plans" Festival 2013 (meeting Bruno Coulais).
A music composer for about 30 award winning short films, TV and Internet ads, his scores have been selected and/or awarded in festivals such as Soundtrack Cologne (Germany), Anima Mundi (Brazil), Park City Film Music Festival (USA), Aniwow! (China), Cinéjazz Paris (France).
He is currently working on several projects involving feature-length films in the development or post production stages.
